Decanter centrifuge service and repair
Decanter centrifuges separate solids from liquids continuously: sludge dewatering in wastewater plants, and process duties in food, starch, vegetable oil and rendering plants. Abrasive solids wear the scroll and bowl, and the wear shows up as wetter cake, dirtier centrate and higher vibration.
Signs it needs service
- Cake is wetter than it used to be
- More solids in the centrate
- Vibration, or high-torque alarms
- Gearbox noise or oil leaks
- Visible wear on the scroll flights or wear protection
What we do
- Inspection and wear measurement of scroll and bowl
- Scroll flight repair and renewal of wear protection
- Main bearing and seal replacement; gearbox service
- Dynamic balancing of the rotating assembly
- Process tuning: pond depth, differential speed and polymer dosing
On site or in our workshop
Bearing, seal and gearbox work is done on site. Scroll repair and balancing are workshop jobs: we remove the rotating assembly, repair and balance it, and refit it with a test run.
Where these machines work
A service report with wear measurements, the balancing result, parts fitted and recommendations for the next overhaul.
We work on machines from the major manufacturers
Tell us the make, model, serial number and running hours. We use the parts you specify: original manufacturer parts or approved equivalents, and we record every part fitted in the service report.
